Very few production companies bring their clients the years of experience and the range of film, television and video projects that we do. Now 30 years old, Wheeler Communications counts itself among the longest continually operating production companies in the nation. There’s no genre of film or television that our creative team has not been involved in.
From the Arctic Circle to Cape Horn, our crew-members travel the world to capture the right material that tells the right story. Over the past three decades our people have brought their storytelling talents to feature film, episodic television, documentaries and business communications with a continuing dedication to their work and passion for top-tier excellence.
Start to finish, we handle it all. Our specialty is producing long-form content, from the beginning of creative concept to delivery of the finished film. Wheeler Communications award-winning works are as entertaining as they are thought provoking and have gained us recognition and respect in the film industry and with our clients.
Yet we’re more than just an accomplished production company. Experience and a diverse body of work has resulted in an organization that just "gets it." We think strategically as well as creatively as we become an integral part of your team. We truly understand your project goals and achieve them by delivering content that really works.
It’s all a part of who we are and what we do.
Telling compelling stories. Exceptionally.
BOB WHEELER, PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Bob Wheeler’s career in film and video storytelling has been a continuous evolution. After a decade of various production roles, Bob founded Wheeler Communications in 1988 and began seeking broadcast television and documentary opportunities. This pursuit eventually led to Wheeler Communications production of a #1-rated adventure reality series for NBC Sports Network lasting 9 seasons. His love of documentary filmmaking has also grown through the years as he's produced several documentaries with various forms of distribution to a diverse audience.
Now working as Executive Producer and Director, Bob has also served as Writer, Cinematographer and Editor throughout his career. This range of experience has given Bob a valuable perspective on assembling all the pieces of the puzzle necessary for creating a successful and compelling film.
Bob has become known in the industry as an accomplished visual storyteller with a gift for spotlighting the personal stories and unique experiences of the people in his films. According to Wheeler, “The most compelling stories are those that allow us as human beings to connect at an emotional level with the life experiences of others. This expanded understanding is not only entertaining but makes us better informed and more compassionate people.”
